Garments trims and accessories are very essential to make garments connected, functional and decorative.
But trims and accessories are not same. These function and look are completely different.
Trimmings: Trimmings are used for functional purpose, it must be sewing with garments and also enhance the functionality of garments.
Such as: zipper, button, webbing, shoulder pad, lace, lining, Interlining, sewing thread, motif, rivet, stopper, elastic, all types of label, hook and loop, twill tape, seam selling tape, fusing materials, rib, padding, ribbon, down, string, piping cord, logo print, eyelet, buckle,adjuster, recco, etc.
Accessories: Accessories are not directly attached with garments by sewing. These are used to make a garment attractive for sale or packing. In short accessories are used for decorative purpose.
Such as : hang tag, hanger, poly bag, size tag, tissue paper, collar stand, backboard, neck board, Pin, tag pin, custom sticker, arrow sticker, both side tape, cartoon pad, silica gel, belts etc.
What Is Difference Between Them?
Technical
Definition :The type of material that happen to be connected together with the entire body of apparel by sewing are known as trimming.
The materials which can be not attached using the system of clothes by sewing, use only for GMT’s completing and packing.
Non- Technical definition:
Trimming are greatest supplies which can be connected using the clothes when using at the end customers.
Accessories are the ultimate materials that are not connected with the garments while using by the end of customers.
